• HORSE RIDING ADVENTURE - Lake Huvsgul

    Mongolia is the land of horses. This trip offers a genuine adventure to discover the unfenced wilderness of Mongolia on a horseback. Riding a horse helps you to meet locals on a level footing and experience the country as Mongolians have done for centuries.
    Brief itinerary (3 day-horse riding)
    Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
    Day 2. Flight to Murun, Huvsgul province
    Day 3. Horse trekking to Jaknhai Mountain and visit Tsaatan (Reindeer herders)
    Day 4. Trip to Eg river and visit nomads
    Day 5. Return to Ashihai camp
    Day 6. Drive to Murun. Flight to UB. City tour.
    Day 7. Departure
    Day 1. Welcome to Ulaanbaatar
    Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. Transfer to the hotel. City tour: Sukhbaatar square. Gandan Monastery. Bogd Khaans Winter Palace Museum. Choijin Lama Temple. Zaisan Memorial Hill. Overnight in the hotel.
    Day 2.Huvsgul province
    After breakfast flight to Murun, Huvsgul province. Drive to Ashihai camp (110 km) in the western shore of magnificent Lake Huvsgul, know for it’s name “Dark blue Pearl”. Spend rest of the day at the camp walking along the shore, hearing lake tide, watching sunset and staring brilliant night stars. Overnight in the camp.
    Day 3. Horse trekking to Reindeer land
    Horse trekking starts after breakfast heading to Tsaatan – Reindeer herders. Ride through tall taiga forest and gorgeous headlands to Sant and Jankhai mountain pass along the western shore of the lake. Visit reindeer people, fascinating ethnic group who live in the taiga-forested mountainous areas to the northwest of Huvsgul. Ride back to the camp and overnight.
    Day 4. Nomad lifestyle
    Horse trekking continues to Eg River Valley, a scenic area of rivers, forest and mountains. Visit nomads, the people of the steppes have adopted a pastoral way of life moving in the search of best pastures and campsites. They live by and for their livestock. Experience their lifestyle, try to milk goats, sheep and cows, learn some methods of processing diary products. Overnight in tents.
    Day 5. Horse trekking
    After breakfast ride back to the camp at Eg River. Enjoy traditional Mongolian dinner and overnight in the camp.
    Day 6. Drive back to Murun and flight to UB
    Drive to Murun. Flight to UB. Transfer to the hotel. City tour. Shopping. Folklore: tsam danse - buddhist religious dancing, contortion, hoomii (throat singing). Farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
