• Chinggis Khaan's Birthplace

    Welcome to the homeland of Chinggis Khaan who once conquered the world in XIII Century. Chinggis was born in 1162 and named Temujin. At the age of 20 he was proclaimed Chinggis Khaan (oceanic or universal king). Travel through cultural and historical areas related to his life and the Great Mongol Empire.
    Brief itinerary  
    Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
    Day 2. Drive to Khuh nuur (Blue Lake), Khentii province
    Day 3. Drive to Baldan bereeven Monestary and to "Chinggis Homeland" camp
    Day 4. Drive to Deluun Boldog
    Day 5. Drive back to Binder soum
    Day 6. Drive to UB
    Day 7. Departure
    Day 1. Welcome to Ulaanbaatar
    Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. Transfer to the hotel. City tour: Sukhbaatar square. Gandan Monastery. Bogd Khaan’s Winter Palace Museum. Choijin Lama Temple Museum. Zaisan Memorial Hill. Overnight in the hotel.
    Day 2. Khukh nuur (Blue Lake)
    Drive to Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Lake, where Temuujin was crowned Chinggis Khaan in 1206. Lunch. The trip continues to Umnudelger soum. Overnight in tents.
    Day 3. Baldan Bereeven Monastery
    Drive to the monastery of Baldan Bereeven (rice boiled in milk), built in 1777. At its peak it was one of the three largest monasteries in Mongolia. The monastery is currently being restored by tourist-volunteers under the auspices of the American-based Cultural Restoration Tourism Project. Drive to "Chinggis Homeland“ camp for dinner and overnight.
    Day 4. Deluun Boldog
    Drive to Dadal soum, gorgeous area of lakes, rivers, forests and reminiscent of Siberia. 3,5 km north of Dadal village locates Deluun Boldog, the great Khaans birthplace. Visit Chinggis Khaan Statue, built to commemorate the 800th anniversary of his birth. The trip continues to Khajuu Bulag mineral water spring (2,2 km), where the great man once drank. Visit nomad family and have dinner with them. Overnight in ger.
    Day 5. Binder soum
    Drive to Binder soum. Visit legendary places: Yesukhei's ger (father of Chinggis Khan), "Ikh Khuraldai" Statue, Deer Stones and Binder Ovoo. Overnight in camp.
    Day 6.
    Drive back to UB. On the way visit Chinngis Khaan 13th Century Complex. Lunch. Transfer to the hotel. Shopping. Torgo (silk) - Traditional costume show. Farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
