• Camel Trekking Adventure - South Gobi

    Enjoy two humped Bactrian camel riding registered in World Red Book and experience the nomadic lifestyle travelling in the South Gobi. The Gobi Desert is one of the untouched, unique and mysterious place on earth. The incredible land is home to Argali-Wild sheep, Snowleopard, Hulan-Wild Ass, Gazelle, Havtgai-Wild Camel, Mazaalai-Desert Bear and Desert Ibex.
    Brief itinerary (camel trekking - 3 days)
    Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
    Day 2. Drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu (Rock formation), Dundgovi (Middle Gobi) province
    Day 3. Drive to Bayanzag (Flamming Cliffs) ,Umnugovi (South Gobi) province. Camel trekking to Moltsog Els (Small Sand Dunes)
    Day 4. Drive to Khongor Els (Singing Sand Dunes). Camel trekking continues.
    Day 5.

    Day 6. Drive to Yoliin Am (Vulture Mouth). Nature museum)
    Day 7. Drive to Dalanzadgad and flight to UB
    Day 8. Departure
    Tour option (7 days): UB – Dalanzadgad (flight), Bayanzag (drive) – Khongor Els (2 days) – Yoliin Am (drive) – Dalanzadgad (drive), Ulaanbaatar (flight) - Departure
    Day 1. Welcome to Ulaanbaatar
    Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. Transfer to the hotel. City tour: Sukhbaatar square. Gandan Monastery. Choijin Lama Temple. Zaisan Memorial Hill. Overnight in the hotel.
    Day 2. Baga Gazriin Chuluu
    After breakfast drive to Adaatsag (260 km), Dundgovi province. Explore Baga Gazriin Chuluu, known as incredible rock formation. Lunch at the camp. You can visit Chinngis Khaan’s grazed horses spot, highest peak-Baga Gazriin Uul (1768 m), which takes 5 hours to climb, a cave with underground lake and the mineral water springs (eye water springs).     Day 3. Bayanzag (Rich Saxaul Forest), Moltsog Els (Small Sand Dunes)
    After breakfast drive to Tsogt Ovoo soum, Umnugovi province. Lunch. Drive to the legendary “Flaming Cliffs” named for the red-sandstone that glows a brilliant reddish-orange at sunset. The area holds an amazing number of dinosaur fossils. 22 kms of driving to Bulgan soum - Moltsog Els. Prepare and practice for journey. Overnight at camp.
    Day 4. Camel trekking
    image Trekking by two humped Bactrian camel in Gobi desert starts today. The trek heading to west of Unnugovi province, Khongor Els guide you to magnificent sceneries: the endless steppe, land-sea, high mountains, rocky cliffs with unique formation and rock paintings. Chance to see wild animals such as ibex, wild sheep, foxes, wolves, vulture, eagles, crown and quail etc. Visit nomads. Overnight in tent.
    Day 5. Khongor Els
    Trekking continues around Khongor Els, the largest sand dune and the real image of Gobi Desert. It stretches 180km long, 12 km wide. You can climb to the top of the dunes and then slide back down if you have a garbage bag handy. The sand dunes change the color from yellow to silver at dawn/sunset. The dunes make sound like plane engine in a windy day so locals call as "Singing dunes". Camel riding to Seruun Bulag oasis (30 km) near Hongoriin gol (river). Camel trekking ends today.     Day 6. Yoliin Am (Vulture Mouth)
    Drive to Yoliin Am, 46 km west of Dalanzadgad. Lunch. Walk around and discover the place famous for its dramatic and very unusual scenery-it is a valley in the middle of the Gobi Desert with meters-thick ice even in middle of the summer. Nature Museum has a collection of dinosaur eggs and bones, stuffed birds and a snow leopard. Overnight at camp.
    Day 7. Ulaanbaatar
    image Early morning drive to Dalanzadgad and flight back to UB. Transfer to the hotel. City tour in the afternoon: Bogd Khaan's Winter Palace Museum. Enjoy folklore: tsam danse-buddhist religious dancing, contortion, hoomii (throat singing). Farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
